Ladies footwear from Diana Ferrari and Supersoft. In 1979 the Diana Shoe Company was created by the Kirkhope and Goodman families, producing 150 pairs of shoes a day. By the mid 1980's the company had grown to employ approximately 400 people and was producing 4,000 pairs/day. By the late 80's the company had expanded its brand portfolio which had previously only consisted of the Rivers brand, to include additional ranges Zendrini, Lady Diana, DF Supersoft and Diana Ferrari, and the business soon divided between the two families by men's and women's product with the Kirkhope family retaining Diana Ferrari and the women's business. In 2000 the Diana Ferrari handbag and accessories ranges were introduced and in 2001 the first 2 retail concept stores were opened: Highpoint and Lygon Street followed by another 2 stores in NSW: Centrepoint and Erina. The Colorado Group added the Diana Ferrari business to its portfolio in February 2002. Today, Diana Ferrari is the most widely recognised women's shoe brand in Australia. Favoured by more Australian women than any other shoe brand, Diana Ferrari and Supersoft are recognised for their comfortable, stylish, quality range of shoes at an affordable price. Nearly 4 in 10 of every pair of women's shoes owned in Australia are either Diana Ferrari or Supersoft and the brands continue to provide shoes for all occasions for women of all ages.
