Direct Factory Outlets (DFO) in Cheltenham Victoria, is Australia's first and largest factory outlet shopping centre, with over 120 individual factory outlet stores all under the one roof.
With many superior brand outlet stores within the complex, our stores range in specialities from: women's fashion, men's fashion, children's clothing, footwear, sporting goods/apparel, homewares/furniture, manchester, jewellery/accessories, lingerie/sleepwear, handbags/luggage, prints/frames in addition to further unique stores catering for your every need.
Stock quality found at DFO is above average to that found in other factory outlet stores around the country. Merchandise can vary from discontinued lines, previous season's stock, current season overstock, and special purchases, seconds or samples.
Discounts vary from store to store: depending on the stock type available. Discounts in most cases are up to 70% off the recommended retail prices of the merchandise.
The car parking at DFO is free with ample grade level parking.
Currently, there are five food court areas within the complex, for your convenience with food facilities such as In 2 Juice and its neighbour Sports Arena Cafe, Starbucks, Gloria Jean's Coffee, Subway, Magic Wok, Cafe Maldini, Serina Cafe and Villa & Hut Kafe. Whether it's a full meal you're after, a light bite to eat or a quick coffee and cake, all hunger pangs can be satisfied.
Direct Factory Outlets is situated on the corner of Centre Dandenong Road and Grange Road in Cheltenham (Melways Ref: 87 F3): directly next to the Moorabbin airport. With major roads such as Warrigal Road and Nepean Highway, Boundary Road and Lower Dandenong Road, our location is extremely accessible for those travelling from all suburbs around metropolitan Melbourne. You can enter/exit DFO from either Centre Dandenong and Grange Road.
From any of the city's railway stations (Richmond, South Yarra and Caulfield stations), the Frankston train line goes through Cheltenham station. The bus stop outside the Cheltenham station is on the corner of Station Street and Charman Road, and there are two buses that travel past Direct Factory Outlets: bus route numbers 827 and 828 (Hampton to Berwick) - ask the driver to stop at DFO or Cheltenham RSL.
Travel time from Cheltenham is approximately 10 minutes with buses leaving every 20 minutes Monday to Friday, and hourly on Saturday. There is no bus service on a Sunday or a public hoiday. To walk from Cheltenham station along Centre Dandenong Road takes approximately 30-40 minutes. There are also taxis available from Cheltenham station.
Direct Factory Outlets trade seven (7) days a week: Monday to Sunday from 10am to 6pm. *Exceptions include: - Closed Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Good Friday and Easter Sunday. - Anzac Day 1-6pm only.
Most major credit cards are accepted in the outlet stores, yet it does depend upon the store. Many stores within the centre do accept lay-bys. Please phone the individual store if you would like to find out if a particular store allows lay-by.
